April 2016: New Ownership at MVP
Dear MVP Community,
It is with great joy that I announce that I am the new owner of Montclair Village Pilates!
I first met Cynthia Rodriguez, founder of MVP, way back in 1996 (gasp!), when we were in a several dance shows together at UC Berkeley. Little did I know we would re-connect in 2015 and I would end up taking the helm of the quaint, cozy studio she founded.
I have such respect and admiration for what Cynthia has done with Montclair Village Pilates, for her skill and the kindness and healing energy she brings to her teaching. I am honored to build on the foundation she has created and wish her the very best in her new adventures!
Since taking ownership on April 1, 2016, I have made some exciting changes. If you haven’t been to MVP in a while, I invite you to come check us out! We have new equipment (reformers! ladder barrel!), fun decor changes (new carpet in the springboard room!), and a diverse, exciting menu of classes that will be sure to challenge all bodies in the ways they need the most.
Do you have ideas for what could MVP even greater? Do you have schedule requests? Do you just want to say hi? I would love that. Drop me a line: montclairvillagepilates@gmail.com or give me a call at 510-499-5559 (sorry if I don’t answer the phone right away, we don’t have a receptionist and I’m teaching a lot..but leave a message and I’ll always call you back!)
I’m excited to get to know you. Let’s chat about Pilates history and equipment, let’s release on a foam roller, let’s explore some anatomy books, go have coffee downstairs and then go back up to the studio and move some more.
I look forward to seeing you at the studio!
